Relax in the Hidden Paradise of Ferndale Park
Bordering the majestic Barrington Tops National Park and nestled in an amphitheatre of mountainous surrounds, Ferndale Park has all the right ingredients to take you to a reality where you can forget the grind of your everyday life. Allow yourself to be taken away by the serenity of unspoilt nature, forest surrounds and the beautiful Chichester River. Tranquillity is waiting for you at Ferndale.
Ferndale Park is situated in the upper reaches of the picturesque Hunter Valley, twenty four kilometres north of Dungog in the foothills of the Barrington Tops. Just three hours drive from Sydney and less than one and a half hours from Newcastle, Ferndale Park is close enough to provide weekend getaways and midweek escapes without having to travel too far from these cities. The roads leading to Ferndale are all sealed, except for the two kilometre entrance to the park which is gravel.
Ferndale Park offers superb camping and caravan/campervan sites in a relaxed riverside setting. The park is set on 150 hectares of peaceful grazing country and is equipped with full amenities such as hot showers and flush toilets which are maintained on a daily basis. The area of the campground itself is large enough to allow for finding your own piece of secluded paradise. Subject to total fire bans, yes, you can have your own open camp fire at Ferndale Park. (BYO marshmallows) Whether you are looking for a fun filled family holiday or are a couple looking to get away for a secluded weekend, Ferndale Park offers the perfect setting for everyone who has wants to 'get away from it all'. Ferndale Park is pet friendly - you can bring along your dog free of charge. (All dogs and other pets must be controlled at all times and the owners accept full responsibility for their pet’s behaviour). On site caravan accommodation and a comfortable two bedroom cottage are also available.
